Description
Sturt Football Club : Est 1901 This beautiful representation of the Football Club from the South Eastern inner suburbs of Adelaide is centred in Unley, its ovals nestled between Oxford and Cambridge streets. The Club always recognized as a blue blood, puritanical organization provided some of the most famous players, coaches, games and snap shot moments in any era of the great Australian game.
Sturt lead the charge with 5 Premierships in a row in the late 1960’s creating along the way a new style of rapid handball movement which was admired by other Australian Rules competitions and taken up as a result by famous VFL coaches. Jack Oatey one of the Greatest if not the Greatest coaches guided Sturt through that period.
